We need some news out of the Magic camp! Lol I’m getting really nervous not knowing who’ll be out there for us next year. To be honest the ANZP years have been hard for the Magic, I think for so long I was used to our team being up there in NZs best. Hopefully Amigene gets some good signings but we need some news pleasssssseeeee

Well I think it’s clear Falkner Jury Kopua Sinclair Cable Dixon will be back which is a strong backbone
Eke is the ideal signing to replace Potigeter but cant see it happening.

    When’s Malias second baby due?

i was thinking her and Tuivaiti ?? or is that a bridge too far.

I hope it’s not Nelson, i don’t like her style.

Peace is on my list of potential GS are Joyce Mvula and George Fisher.  You could argue that Fisher is similar to Nelson and not a fully established GS but she can play GS or GA and can shoot long and med range too.

    https://www.netballmagic.co.nz/magic/news/6888-waikato-bop-magic-announce-anz-premiership-team.html

    2019 Waikato-BOP Magic roster:

Defenders – Casey Kopua (captain), Kelly Jury, Jenna O’Sullivan

Mid-court – Samantha Sinclair (vice-captain), Ariana Cable-Dixon, Lisa Mather, Sydney Fraser

Shooters – Monica Falkner, Abigail Latu-Meafou, Kelsey McPhee.

ALM is good, but not that good. It is going to be a weaker front line and a struggle for the season, but in saying that a moving circle provides defenders something different to look at and may play in their favour with every other team with a tall, holding shooter

That’s a big letdown from Potgieter to Latu-Meafou.

Great to see ALM got another contract, she has great potential if any possible off court issues are all solved

    Okay we have a team!

This wasn’t the Latu I was hoping for and I have the feeling we’ll be fighting to stay off the bottom of the table rather than top spot.

Anyway it’s nice to see the Beko players given a chance to step up.

Kelsey Mcphee was excellent in the Beko. She is a high volume shooter, so that will be a plus and she’s a Kiwi. So that’s another plus.

I don’t know much about mini Latu, but I assume she will be getting occasional half games with Falkner.

The back line will be fierce provided everyone is and stays healthy. The midcourt particularly Ariana needs a lot of work. She made crucial errors in their demise this season. Her debut season was far better than this one. If it doesn’t work again, she will need a change in team or demotion.
