Quite a significant setback tonight against one of this year’s weaker teams despite a couple of returners. Difficult to see them competing with the likes of Wasps playing at this level. A significant turnaround is necessary on Friday.

Yes at the start of the season I had them as favourites for making final! The problem is definitely in the attack end and I think they need to choose between Friday OR Commane as their starting shooter and let them run a whole game out with Drakeford-Lewis at GA. The constant switching in the lineup doesn’t allow any connections to form and exposes the weakness of their major asset: Guthrie just doesn’t have that familiarity with her attackers and we’ve all seen her flounder before, when she isn’t sure in her mind of what the circle players are doing. I think Bath have had this issue for quite a few seasons now; there is no shooter to shooter relationship and they play in isolation. Lots of work needed!

Wasps win away against Surrey Storm shows how much Bath have to do to get into the play offs.

That was a welcome win against Lightening after the disappointing performance against Storm.  Hopefully they have got things back on track.

One step forward, one step back. Top 4 seems to be assumed  but surely there needs to be some consistency to achieve that target & certainly to progress beyond that stage.

Bath went down 45-68 to Mavericks this evening – they were missing Eboni & Serena, but it was still a disappointing performance.  Hopefully they can pick it up against Wasps next Friday…

The commentary was more painful than Team Bath’s performance. Faye Carruthers didn’t stop talking and it wasn’t even about the match happening in front of her.

Agreed – at one point I considered turning down the sound. I’m not a huge fan of either Caroline Barker or Katherine Merry in commentary, but hopefully one of them will be back for the next game.

The prospect of Wasps next up is worrying. Much work to be done to cope with the threat they provide.

It was dire she is definitely the worst commentator so far, (who cares what colour Fisher’s hair is?!). Greenway is definitely better at both commentary and analysis than the people whose actual job it is!

Sky should give these jobs to people who know what they’re talking about. I like Lynn Carpenter’s commentary, she would be perfect.
