    Pulman Arena i think…..

Men’s squad was named yesterday. Very strong team.

Yes, my understanding is that all games will be played at Pulman.

Obviously it’s NNZ’s call but I can see no value at all in playing a match like this live on TV.

In front of fans and non-broadcast media? Maybe.

I see no point in watching the Ferns get thrashed by a mens team live on TV.

How do you stop a 7’2 GS? Watson won’t have a chance.

Does Junior Levi live in NZ now? Hes a giant, what do the Ferns gain from playing against him? Lol

I wished they could play 20 games against the dudes before the WCs.

So, unless Taurua, Langman and Folau have dispensation to miss Round 9 of SSN (June 22/23), they will all arrive in NZ with 2 days until the first game on 26th.

Not a lot of time to be training in preparation for those games?

And who leads the training for the NZ based players until then, Fuller?

The ANZP finishes on 2 June. Presumably the team will meet for training before the end of June? Taurua will be earning lots of Airpoints tripping back and forth.

They have already stated the men’s game will impose certain limitations e.g. no halfcourt lobs or lifted jumps.

Personally, for me, the scoreline is irrelevant. The men gain valuable exposure and the SFs have a tough real-time game to build develop connections. Looking forward to seeing the SFs in action before the WCs.

    Agree!

The score is probably good exposure for Men’s netball. I have no doubt the mens team will win. But the challenge for the SFs is in invaluable. They will certainly learn how to push themselves harder. Can’t wait!

I understand this series is being live streamed, for overseas viewers.

    Via the Netball NZ website.

TrentA, the Ferns – including Langman and Folau – are going up to Sippy Downs to have a training camp. Lightning are playing at home the next two games (before the WC break) so not exactly sure when the camp is, just remember reading something about it fitting in with NTs schedule.

Just read about the height of most of the men’s team. 6 players over 190cm and JL 218cm. Ferns tallest defenders are 30cm shorter, Watson 35cm shorter.

I guess this is an opportunity to develop combinations under defensive pressure and use netball smarts. Still think the scoreline is irrelevant but umm it isn’t going to be a pretty game.

Does anyone know if the games are going to be available on REPLAY as well as LIVE to those of us here over the ditch? And if so, how long after the game finishes?
