Is it a crazy question to ask why Thwaites doesn’t play GA?

    Because she’s a GS?

She’s just a shooter, not a playmaker. Well, not in the traditional manner of a GA anyway. So no, she won’t be playing GA anytime soon. She’ll just have to continue to be a top back up GS for now.

This is the WHOLE year, not just the past month.

Well thats abit silly if you have ‘Ferns’ or ‘Diamonds’for that matter that didnt play the last 2 series? Not exactly accurate.

Thanks Ian, I think it’s really interesting to see the shooting stats for the whole year.  Whilst not all the shooters have been involved in the most current series, it’s useful to see the general trends for each of the teams.

Whilst on any one day, the Diamonds can be beaten (as the comm games and Hamilton test showed), that sort of shooting consistency is generally hard to beat, and definitely setting the standard that the other teams need to match.

I for one hope the Ferns can improve their accuracy, and also Steph Wood as I love her as a player.

Why? It is quite clear. These are all the shooters that have played for Australia & New Zealand in the year of 2018. I don’t see what’s “not exactly accurate” about that?

Because Pettit and Bailey, probably some other players didnt play the ‘full’year. So how can the stats be accurate?

Ian, could you please split out the NZ stats into games coached by Southby and Noeline?  May be interesting… (or may not!!)

Pretty sure I didn’t make a mistake compiling them. So they’re accurate.

There is nothing here about number of goals per game or goals per quarter. Out of all 11 players listed, there is only one who played in every single game… Caitlin Bassett. Every other player listed, missed at least one game. If you want, I’ll go back and add in the number of games each player played, but it doesn’t make sense to say they’re not accurate. They perhaps just don’t tell the full story.

Thanks schmeetle, that would be very interesting, considering we had/have 2 different coaches.
