She is probably 3rd or 4th in line for GD anyway so wouldn’t be getting huge game time. If Kopua needs a rest Karaka, Watson and Burger can all cover GD. Probably don’t need Rore at all in the first 2 or 3 matches, rest her a bit more, make sure she is right to go for bigger games if needed

Yet again NZ takes a injured player to a big event.  Unreal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Rore deserves to be there. I hope the calf is 100% though!

I am worried about WD back up though. Grant is a very solid GD GK option, but Noels wants her as back up to Burger at WD. That worries me….. MSB is a quality WD.

Grant against Browne, Watson, Nat H….

I think Burger and Grant will take out Pitman as she is no where as fast as Nat H.

I’d love to see Pitman v Grant. Both really strong physical players who don’t give an inch but in big games Burger should be WD

Karaka is a better WD option than Rore.

Take a deep breath and think about Dunn…

Tall shooter who regularly has a hit rate of 90% but failed a fitness test because she began her run final early (i think that was the reason). NT made the decision not to select her for WC.

Do you really think NT would select Rore over MSB if she wasn’t 100% fit and could handle the load??

I was going to ramble on about Malawi and the starting seven but listening to NT interview she pretty much addresses all the concerns…

Karaka is a better WD option than Rore.

Saw photos from perhaps the Scotland games of Phoenix playing WD. Really only recall Phee plying there for a few minutes in the Ferns win over the Diamonds in Invercargill in 2017. Katrina only slides there during tournaments.

I don’t imagine NT would want to take Langman out of C, barring injury (touch wood), I would think to run Saunders there? I swear many moons ago, when Finch was still playing for them Steel, Saunders was getting game time at WD – someone correct me if I’m wrong.

If they’re wanting the Harrison effect at WD, throw Bailey in there 😂

I don’t remember Saunders playing WD for Steel at all, when Finch was there it was usually Frew at WD at Saunders WA.

That said Saunders at WD would be pretty solid, especially against teams outside the top 5.

I don’t remember Karaka playing WD at international level but she did play C at fast five
