I think Firebirds are building nicely actually……Cassidy didn’t live up to the hype for me this year, but another year and solid preseason could do wonders…

Perhaps not, but in her 1st season back from injury I think she built nicely as the season progressed and was performing quite well at the end.

One thing… they can’t criticise them for not having many Qlders anymore.

I think they have 6 Queenslanders.

    Mi Mi NSW

    Nevins Victoria

    Aiken Jamaica

    Simpson NSW

SCL have 4 Queenslanders out of 6 signed. With no non Qld Austrlaians. If I can say that?

I’m fairly certain Jemma came through the QLD pathways.

Jemma is a Queenslander. To say she is from Nsw is like saying Medhurst is Victorian.

    Yes I believe she did.

She may also refer to herself as a Queenslander.

    As I do.

I certainly counted her as a Queenslander. I would say they have 7.

That’s a great shift for up and coming Queenslanders.

The recent U17&U19 emerging squad announcements indicates there are many players coming into contention over the next few years. All Queenslanders.

We can basically call Romelda a Queenslander now, can’t we?  ;-)

Why not. You don’t have to be born in Queensland to be a Queenslander. You just have to mean it when you say it.

Romelda’s been in the purple dress since 2008 – you could argue that she’s been in the Queensland high performance pathway longer than Jenner and Hinchliffe!  :laugh2:

Jemma MiMi has had ankle surgery. Hopefully that fixes the issue from this year and she won’t have those same problems next year.

I like Mimi, Cassidy is definitely more solid but Mimi is more spectacular. I don’t think Cassidy had an outstanding year so that spot is definitely up for grabs. As is the WA.

Does anyone have any insight into training partners?
