Is this the whole team they plan on announcing because it says re-signings which indicates there will be new people on the team at some point, but I get the feeling there will be quite a few people announced from last year

Anyone else think Beryl Friday might be making a return?

I’m not in the know at all, but I would expect that most would re-sign. Firebirds tend to keep their group together. But who knows? If Geitz is re-signing then one of Jenner, Hinchliffe or Clemesha should be going. And they should be signing a 3rd shooter.

How has she been playing in ANL or wherever she’s been? Must admit that whilst she was apparently a fan favourite, whenever I saw her get court time for Firebirds, I thought she was less than stellar.

Well, seeing as it says “re-signings”, that suggests they’re going to announce only people who are returning. And maybe it’s ALL of the people who are returning, therefore meaning if they’re not announced tomorrow, they’re not coming back???

If they are to sign a third shooter, it should be one of their training partners, Alexia Baker or Tippah Dwan.

Yep, don’t think we will see Beryl Friday back, that ship has sailed. Tippah Dawn might be brought in, but Amy Sommerville was excellent in the off-season, and would be a great back-up shooter. I was confused why she wasn’t included over Tippah Dawn those few times

That’s a shame. Sommerville will surely break into the 10 if one of the defenders leave. I don’t see the Firebirds keeping all 4, but I’d think that Jenner and Hinchliffe are Diamonds GDs in the making.

    I could see Clemesha leaving.

Maybe to Lightning? Clemesha, that is.

I don’t know, I was never a big fan of Clemesha, she isn’t the typical loud or tenacious GK but then again I’ve only watched bits and pieces of her games

Dare I say it, but would she get a game anywhere else if she’s not at Firebirds?

Who? Clemesha? She’s another one who many seem to rate or talk up, but has only shown occasional glimpses of above average talent IMO. Although maybe with regular court time  (I know she had that last year but not this year) she could be something special.
