Might given them a incentive to leave the confines of the post.

    Tee hee!

Vixens have become very tentative trying to get the ball into the goal circle.

    1/4 time – Magpies 17 – Vixens 16.

Brazill is having a cracker. Well and truly has the measure of Watson. Huge difference as well between the drive she provides in attack to that that Moloney offers.

Vixens making too many soft errors whereas in contrast Magpies are in every contest. Vixens defenders are doing well to win back as much ball as they are though.

61 vixens to 56 Magpies at the end.

Mannix needs to be quite careful or Dehaney will steal the GK bib. Does give them a switch up though – Dehaney against the tall timber and Mannix against the more mobile circles?

Have thoroughly  enjoyed Smith getting a go this weekend. Was VIS netballer of the year last year and looks to be who McKinnis is developing to come in next year (assuming Ingles retires).

Props to Thwaites! Huge comeback against Mentor from the last match.

Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere but was surprised to hear Madi being referred to as Browne rather than Robinson. Thought it was just a commentator error but them looked at Magpies FB page and saw pic shows her with Browne on the dress. Was thinking this would be confusing but then realised no more than Hinchliffe (or von Bertouch in earlier times)

Anyone here more about Kelsey Browne’s injury? Didn’t see anything yesterday but she was on crutches today and getting treatment on the side. Madi Browne also looked like she gave herself a scare with her knee in that last game.

Geva Mentor arguably the best goal keeper in the world , lost on points to Thwaites today. No yips from Thwaites. My top 4 teams(no order) lightning ,vixens,Collingwood, fever and 5th firebirds.

Southby said in commentary that it was not serious and she did not play today due to injury management.

It’s so hard to predict at this stage. I don’t think Firebirds will be as strong this year, Clemesha has room to grow in that GK role and she has two green GDs in front of her. Giants lose Bulley and Guthrie(and Pettitt but Basset has come in for her) so will have an adjustment period and may struggle as well. I haven’t really been impressed by Lightning preseason but they’re yet to show their hand anyways. Atm I imagine the top four will be Pies Vixens Fever and maybe Tbirds or Swifts.

Firebirds didn’t have Jenner here, but even so, I don’t think they’ll be making finals. Maybe 5th or 6th?

When she came out for the post game Huddle she didn’t seem to have any ice or anything on her knee.
