Based ONLY on ave scores, this is the 2019 NS Fantasy Team:

    GS – Jhaniele Fowler (121.8)
    GA – Gretel Tippett (120.5)
    WA – Liz Watson (121.7)
    C – Jamie-Lee Price (107.3)
    WD – Amy Parmenter (82.3)
    GD – Karla Pretorius (135.0)
    GK – Shamera Sterling (176.7)

    Defenders smashed it!

    Who were the ‘bench players’?

    Housby, Langman & Mentor.

I put a minimum of 10 games played on it. Maddy Proud actually had the highest average score for any midcourter, but of course she only played 7 games, and I couldn’t really pick her off that. Likewise, Courtney Bruce had a slightly higher average score than Mentor but only played 9 games. So if you like, you could have them in as reserves instead.

I was wondering if they were going to do a NNP team of the year but haven’t seen that, it would be interesting to compare it with the FN. I also thought it would be interesting if instead of averaging it was worked out by adding scores, Sterling and Pretorius would have crazy totals.

I can do that, and it actually comes up with the same team. Although Brazill did score more points than Parmenter, that is only due to the matches she’s played at C, not WD.

    Fowler . 1705.0 pts
    Tippett . 1686.5 pts
    Watson . 1704.0 pts
    Price . 1502.0 pts
    Parmenter . 1152.5 pts
    Pretorius . 1889.5 pts
    Sterling . 2473.5 pts

I guess mathematically it would come up the same since most players would be playing the same amount of games and players who are up there arent going to be benched very often.

Fowler Housby Watson Moloney Brazill Pretorius Sterling.

    4 players the same.

I think they maybe cheated a bit with Brazill. With my team, I left Brazill out of WD because although she had a higher average FN score than Parmenter, it was only because of the last 3 games she played at C. They may have counted those games. I didn’t. With Housby v Tippett, Housby had a higher FN average right up until the last game. Her injury affected score in that last game dropped her down just below Tippett. I only had Moloney as 3rd best C. Price was just ahead of Langman.
