Um she clearly did retire. Otherwise what was all the commotion and tears and hugs and all that at the end of last season. I’m pretty sure it was very clear she retired, and if you watch the interview she actually mentions something about retiring and coming back.

Hahahahaha, yeah hard to read sarcasm on hear sometimes. When I saw that interview with LA, I was thinking the only person she is fooling into thinking that is herself.

There is an article about MJ on the Vixens Instagram and website. MJ is staying in Melbourne over the off season to work on her rehab with the club and will stay with the squad for 2019.

By staying with the squad and not announcing her as a player I assume they will sign a GS and she will be a training partner? Meaning Thwaites could be moving

Kumwenda signed a contract. But it’ll be the same situation as Ryde this year. Gooden became a permanent replacement player and contracted after Ryde’s surgery.

They’ll sign a training partner and submit for them to be a permanent replacement player. We may or may never find out which of their two shooters to be announced fall in this category. They might just announce two shooters and keep everything else behind closed doors.

Just curious – why do people refer to Mwai Kumwenda as MJ?  It has really been confusing me! ;)

It’s a combination of her first and middle names, which is Mwai Jasinta!

Figured it was that, but never knew her middle name. :-)
