If i remember correctly, she made her English debut a few years ago?

Was this for the Roses or as a u21 player? So maybe a no for the Silver Ferns then.

Semple hasn’t played for the Roses yet. Played for England U/21 in 2017 at the World Youth Champs. She was going great guns and then fractured her ankle in the quarter final which put her out for about 6-9 months. Will be good to see her fully fit this season. England call up on the cards for sure

Anyone catch tonight’s game? Why oh why does Te Aroha Keenan insist on not playing the strongest starting 7? Why leave your best WA and feeder on the bench and then only give Toner 1/4 match when she should be on at WD. It’s no wonder they make basic errors when each week its “bibs in the air”.

I was there and yes I agree, I was confused as to why Ash Neal didn’t start, why Toner was taken off and also wondered why Jasmin Odeogberin wasn’t in the squad last night. Watching her so far this season I thought she would have been great against Sophie DL.

Just watched the game. I don’t know why but i find Slater really disappointing. I keep expecting more from her.

There is no way EUB and Artman should have let in 60 goals…

Agree about Slater; she’s awful to watch as she’s so awkward and ungainly in her movement….but she did sink a fair few shots once she settled so I can see why they have her as starting shooter!

I feel similarly about Artman; I don’t think I’ve ever really seen her have an outstanding game; she’s a competent GK but I just don’t see her in the Roses, unless she gets a bit more fire in her game. Good GK’s are really tough and niggley and get in the shooters’ heads.

Its Slaters attitude that annoys me. She’s been around a few seasons now but still has the immature hissy fits. Prefers to hug the post and hasn’t developed in to taking those midrange shots.
