    Quotes
Tania Obst, Head Coach, Adelaide Thunderbirds

“We had a really good start to the game with a clear game plan that we executed well. I felt that we had moments during the game that were fantastic but also had periods of time where we let the opposition get runs of goals.”

“Our through court attack was much better today and our goal circle stood up well against an international defence line, especially with young Sasha Glasgow at the back.”

“We were well and truly on top of the game at times but knew they (Lightning) would keep coming at us. The score blew out to six goals in the end but we felt like the Adelaide Thunderbirds were right in the contest against the reigning premiers.”

Not sure if it was already mentioned but Hodges is back training with the team in Adelaide now.

I wasn’t talking about her joining the ten but I thought it might happen eventually, it looked like Lange had fallen out of favour, unfortunately. But Hodges showed some great performances last year so hopefully, if the team needs to mix things up, they can push Folau into GS and Hodges into GA, hopefully, that would decrease the turnover count.

Excited to see how this works out this weekend, I think her match up with Stacey Francis will be interesting and she’s used to the NZ style of play Maria will bring. But who will get the rebounds? Won’t she be shortest in the circle and we know MF isn’t a great rebounder? Guess we have to make sure there aren’t any haha

Hodges could also combine with Glasgow, who is a fantastic rebounder. It’s not imperative that Maria is on the court, though I do think her long bombs are what dragged Tbirds back into the contest the other day.

Wow. Not surprised. Lange isn’t up to that level

True and I guess that’s what we will see next year?
