I would love to see Lemke return so I hope she is a training partner. I think it will be Lemke, Burgess, Blackman, Nankivell, and then maybe some of the Southern Force players who will be chosen now that Hodges, Abernathy, petty, Glasgow, etc. are gone or signed full time. Maybe Georgie Horjus or Armfield or Agostino. I probably haven’t seen them play enough to know who.

    Spotlight on Maria Folau

The Pitman and Folau attacking combo has a lot of fans excited! But before they hit the court, Chelsea finds out more about her new teammate.

Just saw on Sasha’s instagram account that Asha Thurlow from Southern Force is a Tbirds training partner. When you include Maisie Nankivell and assume Georgie Horjus, Emily Burgess and Chelsea Blackman will also be included, it is really confusing why the Thunderbirds haven’t announced their training partners yet. Especially when other teams have.

There was also no congratulatory message from Netball SA for Sienna Allen. Does anyone with any netball knowledge work at Netball SA or the Thunderbirds?

Netball SA rarely acknowledges players leaving SA to play for other teams but club teams do, as Garville have for Sienna. Additionally, I think Thunderbirds are waiting on the Souther Force 2019 team announcement before announcing their training partners, im not sure about this it is just a theory

Wondering how Charles Hodges can be expected to be in this team if she is playing in NZ next year, same goes for that comment regarding her as a training partner with the Thunderbirds when she is not in NZ (comment made a few months ago by someone from Netball SA)

I’m also surprised that the same offer hasn’t been extended to Gia Abernathy

I’m not, she’s been a training partner for 2-3 years, and time and time again Thunderbirds management have shown she is not their first option, not sure why but she hasn’t been.

Same could be said for Hodges. She wasn’t contracted last year, forced her way into the starting line up and still wasn’t offered a contract the following year. The exact same thing happened with abernathy the ear before.

Any updates on Beth Cobdens knee? Will she be available for England for the World Cup?

If she’s on court and training, it’s looking good!
