    WOW Zimbabwe

I really hope they recover well. On that display they should make the top 3 in their pool.

Unless Sri Lanka regroups to beat Australia or NI, then Zimbabwe is a certainty for top three and the next stage

I can’t see them beating the Diamonds. NI maybe…

I had hoped that the replays would be on 9NOW, but they just have the Australian game there now… https://www.9now.com.au/netball-world-cup

No. But who’s to say Zimbabwe won’t beat NI and get 2nd in the pool???

Northern Ireland is tiny. Population is only 1.8m and there is no NI based Superleague team so only 3 players in the VNSL. I think the superleague should include a Belfast based franchise to give netball in NI and the Republic a boost. Wales and Scotland both have a franchise team.

I’m surprised that Michelle Draine wasn’t given the start at WD as she had a fantastic season.

That is a really good idea. I suppose they need some form of sponsor.  They play rugby, i wonder if one of the teams will take it on. Look at Leeds Rhinos…

That wasn’t the Malawi I expected. For me that was an anticlimax.

They didn’t have Kumwenda, and then in the 2nd Q they took Mvula off too, so they didn’t have either of them. They lost that Q by 9, so the 3 Qs where they had Mvula, they only lost by 10 in total.

Not at this stage. Just wait a bit and see if they pop up there.

The NI shooter is actually English Ash but her parent/s are Irish I think.

She used to play for Team Bath and was in the pathways.

OMG the same Shona Craig who sat on the Bath bench most of the season? Well she’s certainly better than Lisa Bowman and sisters, who’ve monopolised the shooting positions for the last few years!

Well, we’re having trouble. Can’t see anything right now. Personally, I don’t really care about missing the opening ceremony, but this doesn’t look good for watching the other games.

Karaka did really well at WD. But I do think she’s our best option for GD.
