I wanted to raise this on this thread. It may be on another. I’m not sure about publishing rights for the site in google.

I tried to put the site here but the new security wouldn’t let me bypass.

You can google sports law and a recent high profile name.

Someone needs to advocate to change laws and unify each state and territory.

It’s an interesting read on points of law and insight into how this matter reached its conclusion. It’s certainly provides some valid instruction for clubs in any sport. The variation in state laws.

It is an informative read if you get the chance.

How can the Lightning be in 2nd spot, but on same points as Vixens, but Vixens have more bonus points and a better goal %%%

Already explained this somewhere else. After the controversy of last year, a change was made whereby if two teams were level on overall points, the team with the most match points would be ranked ahead of the team with most bonus points. If they were still level, THEN it would go to %.

Because they changed it this year and so the ladder works on WIN/DRAW points first, then % . So if you’re on the same overall points (ie WIN/DRAW and BPs), you’ll be ahead if you have more WIN/DRAW points…..does make me wonder what the BPs are for!!! (Except keeping bench players on the bench – not good for long term development of players if they don’t get time on the court at this top level).

(Edit 1 – I asked the same question on the Vixens thread yesterday and Ian kindly explained it there….I get the Vixens’ feed on my FB and the same question is being asked there.)

(Edit 2 – now if Ian could help me fix my FN team – I’m going backwards every week.)

I’m wondering if that could be a funding opportunity for Scoop – we hire out Ian to help fix people’s FN teams. It’s not like he has anything else to do.

Well sorry for asking a important question, on the Suncorp thread.  I shall not ask anything import again….
