Highest NNP is Housby right now but she’s only one point ahead of Proud who came of earlier due to an injury. I really hope she still gets player of the match.

Unbelievable composure from Maddy Proud during that interview.

Bloody hell, I’ve never hated Bonus Points as much as I have with this match

Lose by 22 goals and get a bonus point.  :shok:

That’s great. If that doesn’t prove to people how unfair bonus points are, nothing will. Firebirds pick up a totally undeserved point despite losing a game by 22.

I really hope it isn’t an ACL for Proud. It happened directly inline with our seats (Proud was on the far side of the court to us). It really didn’t look like a typical ACL so I am holding out on some hope for her. Was lovely to see Akle sot next to Proud on the bench.

Just before it happened I was thinking gee I wish Proud was going to the World Cup. Hadley is very solid and really doesn’t make a mistake. But Proud is far more explosive and her link into the shooters was on fire.

Swifts are so very well drilled. Halpin is a very fine player and strong backup for Swifts.

To the firebirds….. not much to say but what a rabble. Where to now that their South African imports didn’t do particularly well? Burger, no different to last time she was with firebirds. Weak drives and weak shoulder passes. Maybe with time Potgeiter and Tippett will form a nice combination? It would have been good to see one shoot from distance to break the defence open. Even if they missed it would pull one of the defenders away from the post and give them something to think about.

If Proud is out for the rest of the SSN, do they look at a import, or do they have enough cover???.

Nat H…………………….. is not playing until after the WC, and who knows she might still not be right.

I would wonder how Claire O’Brein would be going with her recovery? Obviously, wouldn’t want to push her either

NZs Whitney Souness is a option (if allowed), she would fit in well with her speed.
