I feel like we could see a big upset for this game. Firebirds home game, and if they get out to fast start, they could stun the Swifts who are probably coming into it thinking they will easily win.

I’d like it if you are right. But I am not hopeful.

I am thinking it is going to be a tough season for us Firebirds fans. But I am still finding many things about their performances to like.

Both Potgeiter and Burger are on the team list for Firebirds to play this weekend.

    There’s rivalry here.

Can Nevins go back to back? I think she can.

    The Swifts are so fit.

Mi Mi, Nevins, ALM, Gretel? That combination?

    Yep, upset looming. Gretel MVP.

I think if the Firebirds play ALM they have a chance as Klau won’t keep up with her but if they play Potgeiter I think Klau will eat up some of the balls going into her

Hadley will burn both Burger and Mi Mi so doesn’t really matter who plays C

Jenner v Housby will be a great match up

I had to reread. My apologies.

I am looking forward to Gretel v Klau. Good test for Klau. Gretel takes no backward steps and is the most physical GA that Klau will come up against. I know Maddi is there. But I need to see Klau up against the best.

That alone is price of admission.

Do you think they’re going to put Klau out at GD, or are you thinking that Turner and Klau will regularly swap in the Goal Circle?

Only if they are struggling against and the game is close. I doubt they will start with that.

Apologies. I said signing Berger was a kick in the teeth for Mi Mi. Another thread?

I should have said that would put a dint in Mi Mi’s confidence.

I do not condone violence againat women and should not have worded it that way.

    Enjoy the game.

Klau starting at GD with Turner at GK

I would have preferred GK – Eddy GD – Klau WD – Turner

That was always going to happen. It’s a bit amazing she’s even there to be honest. They would be delighted if they don’t need to use her this week. Same with Burger.
