Mes or Dunn should be there. Even as a training partner

No room for Dunn with Maia there.  Both play the same style.  Agree Mes should have been there, but I also like the 5 mid court options.  It’s 6 days between game 1 and 2.  So time to work on options.

Have NZ traveled with any training partners?

Don’t thinks so. A few of the Thunder players went over to train with them yesterday to make up the numbers.

Surprised not to see Fisher but happy for Dunn.

Very pleased for Fran Williams to get another opportunity.

Would like to see Pitman play at C in at least a couple of quarters and earn her keep: it’s so restricting having someone play only one position in a squad….. unless you are an epic GS like Irene Van Dyke (I’m looking beyond the quad series to potential selections for WC squad).

Pitman as C? No way. She’s not got the speed. Even she admits she’s not the fastest of WA.

There was a photo yesterday and there was just the 12. I think SA has 15 there.

Precisely: is she good enough to be included in the WC squad as a specialist WA only? I was being ironic in suggesting she “earn her keep” by playing C 😊

Thanks. Only 3 shooters on the other side of the world is definitely a head scratcher.

Thwaites will dominate at GS though so not a huge loss.

Her 15 minutes she got in the Con Cup, showed that she didn’t.  Jane Watson got to her.
