This is a wonderful read. I had not realised, until reading this, what an achievement it is to bring that sort of radical change – pink bails and caps, naming the stand after an English woman, etc – to such a traditional and hide bound sport as test cricket. You can imagine it happening in the all-singing, all-dancing T20, but getting them to turn the SCG pink is a wonderful demonstration of determination and passion.

Tennis time again, Federer and Kerber are my picks, to win and collect the crazy prize money on offer.

I am reading Jelena Dokic’s book, wow what a vile man her Father is. And to think fellow players and Tennis Australia knew about the abuse, and did nothing. Thankfully the days of having kids on the Tennis tour is pretty much over.

Great final tonight. Brilliant tennis. Neither player deserved to lose. The three best matches at the Aust Open this year have all been women’s matches and Simona Halep’s played in all 3. She nearly got there, but in the end it was Wozniacki that prevailed.
